Activities of the European NGOs in Ukraine

Special characteristics and importance of the European non-governmental organizations while developing the civil society institutions in Ukraine are analyzed. International organizations are determined to support the civil society institutions in Ukraine, since they play an important role in the protection of human rights; under conditions of the economic crisis, allow for releasing the state from implementation of the unduly burdensome social problems; stimulate improvement of quality of political and public and legal decisions.
A brief review of the areas of activities of the international NGOs in Ukraine is given. Based on it, the conclusion on the need for harmonization of the national legislation and regulatory legal acts of the EU is made. It should encourage creating appropriate conditions for the NGOs activities and fostering their cooperation with the national authorities and civil society.
