The Magazine of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ‘Viche’ (ISSN 2313-559X) is one of the official print media of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine issued since 1992. Materials presented in the Magazine reflect activities of the Ukrainian Parliament, national and international law-making processes, public administration, and political trends.

The main peculiarity of the articles published in Viche is their practical usefulness. A lot of authors are simultaneously involved into the scientific community and public and civic sectors of Ukraine, so they are able to combine proper scientific explorations and personal practical experience in order to study political, legal and administrative developments in Ukraine in their articles at a qualitatively new level.

In this regard, the Editorial Board took a decision to publish all the scientific articles submitted to the Magazine in its separate special issue. In 2006, the thematic sections of the Magazine of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ‘Viche’ were divided into the public and political issue and the theoretical (scientific) one (also subtitled as ‘The Journal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ‘Viche’. Research Library. Special Issue’).

The Journal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ‘Viche’. Research Library. Special Issue is monthly peer-reviewed scientific edition presenting findings in Social Sciences. It is published in the Ukrainian and Russian languages. Since 2014, the Editorial Board has been making efforts to introduce scientific publications in English. However, the official website of the Magazine of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ‘Viche’ represents English abstracts of all the articles, including scientific ones, published after September 2006.

The most important objective of the Journal foresees engagement of the international community to explorations concerning Ukrainian law- and decision-making processes taking place at the state level; developments in Ukrainian foreign and domestic policies; scientific grounds for reforms implemented in all spheres of the public sector; and comparative analysis of contents and application of the legislation of Ukraine and the law of highly developed countries of the world (including processes of their harmonization).

Having free access to scientific publications presented in the theoretical issue of the Magazine of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ‘Viche’, a lot of scholars all over the world could obtain scientific data on development of state building, constitutionalism, democratic and liberal processes in Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries.
