The Schengen Acquis and Ukraine

Legal analysis of main directions of cooperation between the EU Member States and third countries within the Schengen Area is provided. Particular attention is paid to study of the structure of Schengen acquis and mechanisms of the EU’s common visa policy. Provisions of legal instruments cooperation regulating between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of migration are considered. It is determined conditions and prospects of implementation of the visa-free regime by the parties, as well as its potential impact on the further collaboration between them.
