Daily bread can stick in gizzard without spiritual bread

The speech of academician Borys OLIYNYK on the occasion of awarding him with the Gold Medal in the honour of Vernadskyi at the General meeting of the NAS of Ukraine

  I understand that there are people who appear to be not less worthy of this high honour, I’m at the same time much obliged to the scientists and personally to Borys Paton who awarded me with such honour.

All the more this medal is sanctified with the name of the world rank scientist Volodymyr Vernadskyi who glorified our Ukraine.

If taking the importance and scope of scientific discovers and predictions, and the principle of universality of knowledge into account, he is, undoubtedly, on an equality with the French encyclopedists.
