The lingual question spoiled us?

We are now facing the 50 annyversary of a very sad event. 50 year ago the Soviet government has made a destructive act on the Ukrainian language – on the legislative level it has ratified the major status of the “biggest and the best” – the Russian language. From this point (Apr. 1959) with the Law “about the role of school in life” the USST government has started its major plan on rusification of our national schools. The next step was in the eliminating of the Ukrainian language from the higher educational institutions, science and state structures.
