National museum of Taras Shevchenko: from three shocks – to a new exposition

National museum of Taras Shevchenko: from three shocks – to a new exposition

There is a unique building in Kyiv, which first of all
is associated with the name of a genius Kobza-player:
National museum of Taras Shevchenko.

Today it accepts visitors hospitably. There is an exceptional festive mood and a rare triumph in halls. And nothing reminds about three shocks which was recently outlived by this majestic, immobile and beyond the control of time literary and artistic establishment.

Its foundations have been laid for a long time. Principles were formed before the World War II. On March 27, 1943 Radnarkom of Ukraine accepted a decree about the unification into a single whole of picture galleries of Taras Shevchenko and of a memorial complex that was devoted to him. A State literary and artistic museum was given a new apartment. Then nobody had an idea, that in ХХІ century various business corporations will secretly encroach on it. Such architectural masterpiece comes into a notice too those who has a jealous eye.
