Decentralization in Ukrainian way in the context of European experience of local self-government

The bill on making amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (concerning the decentralization of powers), which was initiated by the President of Ukraine on the 01 of July 2015, is analysed for compliance to the provisions of the European Charter of Local Self-Government and compared with the provisions of constitutions of some European countries. The attention focuses on those provisions of the bill that are not meet to the Charter and in the case of its adoption will have negative effect on the local self-government in the Ukraine.
