How to activate the decentralization

At the opening of the constituent conference of the new project “Support of the local government reform in Ukraine”, held in the Ministry of regional development, it was emphasized that during last year it was done more than the previous eight years for the decentralization. However, it appears that this progress is not enough that is why the participants welcomed the launch of another project directed to support decentralization and reforms of governance. The Director of the Civil Society Institute Anatoly Tkachuk recognized that changes in the system of governance during 24 years were concerned mainly the names of the correspondent structures and institutions and numerous renaming really gave nothing. And it is necessary to change the system itself, the logic of its construction in order to get opportunity for the efficient usage of resources.
