About some political and socioeconomic mechanisms of

The mechanisms of decentralization policy are analyzed, in particular its essential aspect which concerns rural territories. The author formulates conclusions based on the results of a visit of the representatives of regional office of reforms of Poltava region to one of districts with the purpose to stimulate the processes of association of territorial communities. He examines the aims of initiators of the policy of association of communities, reasons about inconsistency of symbolic senses of this policy, possible undesirable consequences and ways of their prevention.
