Ukraine is an agrarian state with a long tradition of agriculture. Its potential had a special importance in the present and very difficult times of the crisis when the indicators of almost all industries fell.

Despite everything  the shipment of grain for export in 2014 affected at a record pace, the season 2014/2015 also may enter a history of more than 35 million tons of grain exports – considers the president of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation Leonid Kozachenko. Last year, despite the loss of more than 10 percent of the country territory through the annexation of the Crimea and military action in Luhansk and Donetsk, Ukraine gathered one of the largest crops in the agricultural history.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, because of the war in Donetsk region the agricultural crops on the area of 3.3 thousand hectares were destroyed and the farmers have lost because of this over 16.6 million UAH.
