Effective Fight against Corruption Is the Recipe to Minimize and Overcome Smuggling

The analysis of corrupt practices recorded in the course of work of customs authorities is made. Their negative impact on establishment of the national system to counter smuggling under conditions of formation of the market and ensuring of the customs security of Ukraine is explored.
Urgency of the studied issue is proven in the context of implementation of measures to combat corruption and minimize violations of customs regulations as one of the important factors of economic security (in particular, under conditions of reformation of social and economic and legal mechanisms of state authorities, governance and economic complex). It is noted that improvement of the law enforcement unit of the customs service, fight against every manifestation of corruption and other violations of law committed by its employees are the other important element to guarantee economic security of the state.
