“The mountains bow to him, the sun is on the pen point”

The committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the questions of culture and spirituality organized and conducted the parliamentary listening on a theme “Taras Shevchenko as a figure of the world significance (dedicated to the 200-th anniversary from the day of his birth)”.
During the turbulent times for the state the folk deputies of Ukraine, representatives of public organizations, Ukrainian Diaspora, workers of cultural, science, education workers, appealed to the creation of the genius of people, read his prophetic poems, paid attention of the participants to the problems related to the figure of Kobza-player. And shared their vision in relation to marking his anniversary during the whole 2014.
