The path to unity

On the eve of the New Year the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak summed up the work of the Parliament and assessed the situation in the country, outlined its prospects

2013 year comes to the end. In a week Ukraine will expand beyond its limit, remembering successes and problems and peering at the contours of 2014. Many Ukrainians will remember forever the last week of 2013 by lack of traditional pre-New Year atmosphere and a sense of the long-awaited Christmas tale. The capital of Ukraine even had to give up the traditional Christmas tree and Christmas markets in the center of the city because of Euromaydan.
