On the 4th of December, 135 years ago, Oleksandr Oles was born

When the richest Prague archive of Oleksandr Oles was returned to Ukraine, the researchers discovered for them (afterwards and for readers partly) ANOTHER poet. He turned out to be not only original, deeply lyric, but also versatile, multicoloured, unexpected. He wrote elegies, ballads, dramatic etudes, historical poems, fairy-tales for children, essays, satire and humour, written in verse satirical articles, he translated a lot from different languages.
