It is said that the civility of the state is determined by its relation to the senior citizens, and particularly, to veterans. The care of them is among the main objectives of the government of all levels and social organizations. Today about 70 000 veterans and people similar to this category live in Odessa region, and almost 38 000 live in the hero-city Odessa. There are only 8000 combatants.
