“Civil marriage” as a display of legal nihilism

Significance of this theme is predefined by the modern tendencies of life, all more men and women give advantage to the unregistered married life – “civil marriage”. Living like that they do not limit their freedom. “Civil marriage”, “common law marriage”, “informal marital relations” – people call these relations in different ways, although the current legislation, in particular the Family Code of Ukraine (hereinafter – FCU), contains none of them. At the scientific level many scientists like I. Apopiy, I. Zhyinkova, V. Makhinchuk, Z. Romovska, S. Fursa, Y. Chervonyi and others devoted their works to the study of the issue of civil marital relations. Let’s appeal to the history of the issue.
