When the smile of fortune is fading

The winner of the National Prize of Ukraine of Taras Shevchenko Roman Andriyashchyk (on the picture) debuted unexpectedly loud and completely. He asserted himself not with the collection of short stories or pupils novel, but with large historical work “The people from fear”. The journal “Dnipro” published it. This is nowadays seeing as an exception rather than the regularity. A literary event became unexpected in 1966. The chief editor of the magazine of that time, an authoritative writer Yuriy Mushketyk remembers when the all editors enthusiastically reread hundreds of pages! – a handwriting of practically unknown author.
