№7, 2013 Making decisions and focused conversationOne of the qualities of a true leader is an ability to make decisions. It is good when these solutions correspond to reality and focus on the long-term perspective. However, if they are entirely ad hoc or simply convenient people find themselves in a situation “we have what we have” or “we shot ourselves in the foot”. So the situation is not changing for the better, the problems are not being solved, plans and objectives are not being performed, the development is not happening. The confidence in the leader is rapidly disappearing. Obviously, not only recognized community leaders make decisions but all people also, often even without realizing it. In case of unsuccessful decision-making the consequences are the following: going round in a circle, absence of changes or even warming up a conflict. Volodymyr SALAMATOV |
