Turning “Chornobyl diary”

We mere and more become separated from that memorable event when Chernobyl nuclear hell has divided life into “before” and “after”. Certain details and episodes of calm down of the nuclear monster are being erased from the memory, basically forgotten by the state and the government Chernobyl liquidators who have rescued the earth from the manmade disaster are being passed into oblivion.
So I propose to readers my own observations and impressions documented to the notebook in May-October 1986 during business trips to the 30-kilometer zone. On occasion I would say that then I headed press-service of the Police Department of Internal Affairs of the USSR, holding the rank of police major. I felt pain and anxieties because of Chornobyl within 40 days and nights.
