Working places in villages as an indicator of success of the reforms

In the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University Ivan KACHAN works as a teacher. In 2006 he was chosen as a rural head of Velyka Bugayivka, which is in Vasylkiv district of Kyiv region. He has been occupying this post for already the second cadency. He lives in Vasylkiv.

Our agrarian institutes of higher education graduate up to 30 thousand specialists, and only few of them remain at work. Therefore recently the Memorandum has been signed on the collaboration between Kyiv regional branch of All Ukrainian association of village and settlement councils, regional council and regional state administration for the implementation of “Native Village” strategy initiated by the government Ukraine. It is foreseen to develop jointly the branch programs and to co-ordinate the efforts on implementation of the Government purpose-oriented development program of the Ukrainian village by 2015.

As a head of Kyiv regional branch of All Ukrainian association of village and settlement councils I hope that this document will contribute to the development of infrastructural projects with attracting the investors. Then workplaces will appear.
