Earthy and cosmic image of Elizaveta Kordum

The main achievements of the member of the International Academy of astronautics, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, longstanding deputy director of the M. Kholodniy Institute of Botany Elizaveta KORDUM are directly associated with the formation of the domestic space biology and medicine. Elizaveta Kordum is a courageous pioneer in many corner issues in these areas of scientific knowledge.

Her discoveries concern gravitation sensitivity of the plant cells, as well as establishing of the common regularities of their adaptive responses towards actions of microgravity. First of all she substantiated in detail, and later experimentally proved her own discovery regarding the acceleration of the processes of cell differentiation in space conditions, and then, unfortunately, premature aging of organisms.
