“Knot”: oil + gas + sphere of influence

Quiet a few countries of the Middle East do not leave the desire to get such important as of today energy supply, to control the leading transport routes and pipelines or even to restore the famous once upon a time “The Silk Road” for a long time. Or, it is better to say, countries of the Caspian region – which is a new geopolitical phenomenon that appeared at the end of the twentieth century at the boundary of the Middle East territories and Central Asian. Exactly the lands around the Caspian Sea and its area of water attract unusual attention of both regional and overseas actors.
