Sensations, surprises, paradoxes... Epilogue to the chess championship of Ukraine

Finale of the chess championship of Ukraine, which has recently finished in the capital President Hotel, will be memorized for a long time by this ancient game lovers and professionals, and will appear in analytical materials about modern chess tendencies as a prime example for comparisons. Theoretical developments, debut novelties, creative discoveries of players, which usually determine how interesting and successful this or that competition was, this time appeared to be as though in the shadow. The feature of tournament on the background of domestic and international competitions resulted in something different – peculiar intriguing character of the fight against unforeseeable changes, enormous amount of sensational results and indexes which would be enough for a few championships.
