Oksana BILOZIR: “We can argue in Ukraine, but abroad we should defend national interests”

The member of Ukrainian Parliament of the several convocations of the Parliament Oksana Volodymyrivna currently chairs the Subcommittee on Interparliamentary relations, bilateral and multilateral relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Foreign Affairs and is the member of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE).

Interparliamentary relations are primarily an opportunity to share experience on the legislative activity, to make acquaintance with the organization of the parliamentary structures of the other countries (committees, administration), to see various activities, such as parliament hearings. I also want to note that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts laws on ratification of the international treaties on the full range of issues – from the culture to the military cooperation. Usually such documents are being under preparation, coordination and processing over the years. Due to effective interparliamentary dialogue these procedures are often succeed to be accelerated.
