Emergency medical care: what have legislators changed

Last plenary week before closing the plenary session the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the draft law “On emergency medical care”, which will enter into force starting from January, 1, 2013. Creating in each region of Ukraine unified organization system and providing emergency medical care, according to assessments of experts of the Ministry of Health, will keep the lives of more than 10 thousand people, health and ability to work of over 200 thousand people every year and will prevent disability of over 30 thousand persons who are mostly capable of working and of childbearing age. How the legislative act will work its initiator – the Chairman of the Committee on health protection Tetiana BAKHTEYEVA told.
