“Today the dairy herd of the country can be compared with what it was in 1945 after the war, and the tendency to the decline of population is kept. I have to acknowledge out of pity that we are forced to import meat because we do not have enough for the comparatively low level of consumption.
Cooperatives which have to operate within the villages will help to remedy the situation together with other cardinal arrangements. This will also result in economic advantages. Processing factories have already begun to create cooperatives. Such organizations organise the storage of milk and meat, and render services in breeding cows, etc. The government, from its side, will apply efforts to create cooperatives and make them systematic and attractive for people”.
