In March Taras Shevchenko Lugansk National University celebrates its 90-th anniversary

Swift development of the university, high quality of education stipulated the grant of status classic to the higher educational establishment by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine – in 2008 the Lugansk National Pedagogical University was reorganized into the Taras Shevchenko Lugansk National University. In accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine the status of national is kept after the educational establishment. 

The Lugansk National University is the leader of education in the east region of Ukraine, the pages of history of which reproduce the becoming and development of the high school in Donbas. The university began to reap glory of the location of new pedagogical ideas, embodiment of modern technologies which make studies interesting, exciting and effective.  

The formula of the LNU success is simple, its president, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor academician of the NAPSU Vitaliy Kurylo considers: “Every day spent by the university brings new victories and achievements; however, it puts new tasks as well. We aim at becoming today better than yesterday, to be always the first, to be the university of the future”.
