Conquered Heights of Colonel Bondar Or “Better than Mountains can be Only Mountains!”

In May, 2010 the announcement appeared in the most news world agencies that the Ukrainian alpinists conquered the fifth after the height and one of the most difficult to access tops of our planet – peak Makalu (8463 m). The event was conducted under patronage of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. Among 12 participants of the expedition there was a military doctor, candidate sports master on mountain climbing, participant of battle actions in Yugoslavia, the colonel of medical service Igor Bondar.
