Odessa National Academy of O. Popov - telecom pioneer of Education and Science

September 10, 2010 Odessa National Academy of AS Popov celebrates 90 anniversary of the founding

The Academy is the first institution in the former USSR, who was training signalers.

In July 1920, based on a post course was organized by Odessa elektrotehnikum higher. It is from this moment began the history of the Odessa National Academy of Communications. Popov (ONAZ them. Popov).

Now the academy is headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology in 2009 Petr Vorobienko.

Today the Academy consists of training and research institute of radio, television and electronics, computer technology, automation and logistics, economics and management, information society issues, departments of information networks, telecommunications networks, training and production center for telecommunications technology, Training Monitoring labor market; College of Communication and Information, training and industrial research centers in Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, local Cisco Systems Networking Academy to train IT-specialists, research centers on the development of telecommunications, information technology, infocommunications, networks and postal systems, television and radio, economics and management in communications.

The Academy has a unique achievement in scientific and academic work, as well as international activities.
