This year the Art Museum named after Bogdan and Varvara Khanenkiv is celebrating its 90-th birthday

Good round figure dates back from the Decree of folk commissars in accordance with which the temple of arts was born in 1919. And till now the basis of collection, which is in the centre of the capital in Tereshchenkivska Street, consists of the art collections inherited by the city from the glorified couple - art patrons. And the museum named in their honour has over 20 thousand exhibits from European and Eastern countries. By the way, this collection of foreign art is the biggest in Ukraine.
