Initiation of All Ukrainian referendum by people in the renewed Constitution of Ukraine.

The anniversary of adoption of the operating Constitution of Ukraine was marked with the revival of interest to the problem of amendments. Beyond rhetoric of politicians and mass media concerning their necessity, depth and format, the algorithm of process of constitutional update formulated by the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko comes into notice: the project created by the National constitutional council is foreseen to be brought up for discussion by all Ukrainian society. Consequently the “corresponding bill represented by the President will be considered according to the constitutional order: in the Verkhovna Rada, there will be the conclusion of the Constitutional Court and it will be put to All Ukrainian referendum - it will give the greatest legitimate political and public force to the Constitution”.
