Power of law like political and legal phenomenon

An idea “power of law” is rarely met in political, legal and philosophical-legal researches. And what is more, maybe, except for the known philosopher and lawyer of the end of XIX – beginning of XХ centuries I.A. Ilyin, this idea was not, at least in native lawyers’ researches, provided with the status of gnoeological category of jurisprudence. And as to the grant to this term a status of instrumental, pragmatic character, it will not be practically exposed beyond the bounds of political and journalistic introductions; but for all that the definitions given to it by one or another authors-journalists are, naturally, quite different and can not have pretensions of being a legal idea (the basis for reasoning in the context of state and legal policy).
