Lutsk triangle

Unified in views on the map of future Europe and its security Interparliamentary Assembly of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland is a modern instrument of a regional cooperation of the European Union and the European neighborhood Policy. And this is neither idle chatter, nor a pathetic semi-official statements of support, but a concrete actions of our Polish and Lithuanian partners. For example the creation of so-called mini-NATO - joint Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian brigade. So now, more than ever, a parliamentary component of this cooperation plays an important role and helps Kyiv to introduce appropriate reforms in times of economic crisis and military aggression by the Russian Federation. This year the Parliamentary Assembly of the three friendly countries marks a decade. The first meeting was held in 2005 in Lutsk. Last year it was canceled because of the war in Donbass…And on May, 28-29 2015 in Seim of Lithuania in Vilnius opened the sixth meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Seim of the Republic of Lithuania, the Seim and Senate of Poland. The Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman led the Ukrainian delegation on a tripartite Interparliamentary Assembly. In his speech “Ten years after Lutsk. Recent achievements and actual goals of the Assembly” he outlined the main task - to transform the corrupt post-Soviet Ukraine into a modern European democratic state.
