“Ukrainian issue”

The minute of silence preceded the meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on January, 22, 2014 by which the participants marked the memory of Ukrainian activists of “Euromaidan” who died. On the background of violence escalation in Kyiv the organizers of the forum canceled the speech of that time Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarova who had to outline basic economic and power priorities of our state for 2014. Accordingly, the “Ukrainian session”, during which there had to be discussion of financial and economic future of the state at the expert level, turned into the emotional discussion of the political crisis in Ukraine. By the way, they also tried to find the possibilities to settle it without the participation of governmental authorities: national deputy of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appealed to the world leaders from the Ukrainian side.
