“New Year Tree was born in the forest...”

The most famous New Year song is on the shady side of 100 years, but it has not lost its youth

Only in 1941 the drafters of the book “New Year Tree” found the mysterious “A. E.”- Raisa Adamiivna Kudashova, who reached the age of 63 years old that time. By the way, the text had undergone some changes in the soviet version of “New Year Tree”: for example, some suspicious “man” was replaced by a “graybeard”. And they also say that Kudashova heard “New Year Tree” in the way of  the song in many years and  entirely by accident: some girl sang it in a train!
