American scientists Shekman Randy James Rothman and Thomas Zyudhof received the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine “for the discovery of the mechanisms of vesicular transport - the main transport system of our cells.” Award-winning work is the result of years of research using different approaches - genetic, biochemical and physiological.
