Where the “startup capital” is UAH 17

According to figures of the UN’ Universal periodic review, Ukraine ranks the 126th place on level of print media freedom. 65% of police officers believe that it is normal to use tortures to investigate crimes, and 40 % do not object the introduction of such savage methods for punishment. As for the rule of law, the court occupies the third place among the institutions which do not have public confidence (the banks and the parliament, to which 69 % of respondents do not trust, share the first and the second places). The universal periodic review regarding the observance of human rights is being made for each state-member of the UN. For Ukraine it was released last year, and the state received 145 recommendations from 57 states (40 of them are from the antidiscrimination sphere).
