Toxic chocolate, or View on Ukraine – EU Association Agreement from the East

Today economic confusions, related to the necessity of the severe custom adjusting of export-import operations, quite often result in divergences which appear between the states, and later move to the political sphere. However, if the countries have different views on regional geopolitical priorities or, moreover, are in the relations of asymmetric character, the economic factor becomes an effective mean for unbalancing of bilateral mutual relations, and finally, for the achievement of the desired goal. And so called trade wars which from time to time appear at the level of co-operation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation cannot be considered as an exception. They should rather be considered as a logical consequence of introduction of a foreign-policy strategy of a more powerful partner.
