Pavlo Movchan: “even the ordinary alphabet is a kind of mark of the starry sky”

The poet by his vocation has worked as a turner, a delivery man, a sailor of the fishing seiner, a head of the hydrometeorological expedition of the Academy of Science of USSR for a long time. He wrote the scenario for the cartoon “Kotygoroshko”, he became the author of the idea of the famous “Fox Mykyta” (26 episodes) based on the eponymous work of Ivan Franko, he translated the lyrics of Mahtumkuli, the classic of the Turkmen literature.
As the deputy of Verkhovnaya Rada of Ukraine XII (1st), 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th convocations, he was one of the originators of the Ukrainian statehood, actively participated in the preparation and adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine on June, 28, 1996, including its 10th article, which establishes the statehood of the Ukrainian language.
