Unexpected champions

Traditions, novations, sensations are the main characteristic features of this year Ukrainian chess championships among men and women. Three years in succession the organizers of championships attract to them the majority of leading players of the country. That is to say, in essence they laid the tradition of ensuring the very strong composition of participants of national championship which was not managed to do in last years. As to novations, at first both tournaments took place at the same time and at the same address – in a capital hotel Rus.
