Freedom, equality and dignity of a person in the context of legal defense

Annual scientific and practical conference “Freedom, equality and dignity of a person in legal theory and practice” took place on May, 23 in V. M. Koretskyi State and Law Institute of the NAS of Ukraine. Topicality of the theme is predefined by both that until now there is a wide demesne for scientists who ground human rights and freedoms in theory, and, foremost, by the unsatisfactory level of their providing in the real life. Therefore, opening a forum, deputy director of V. M. Koretskyi State and Law Institute of the NAS of Ukraine, corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Nagrebelnyi underlined the significance of scientific researches in this sphere because the ideas of human rights and freedoms protection, honour and dignity, providing of justice and equality in the society are determining for forming of new modern democratic standards of public life. He called the research workers to conduct research on this topic more actively, including the development of mechanisms for implementation of their results in practice and providing of guarantees and control after the observance of rights and freedoms.
