Commission suggests to overcome the “deficit” of democracy with the help of the constitutional amendments

At the plenary meeting of the Constitutional Assembly, after the report of the Commission on the questions of democracy was discussed, new approaches and ideas regarding possible amendments to the Constitution in relation to the “real democracy” were offered. The task to be always oriented on the constitutional practice defined the new stage of work for the commission — to prepare a separate section to the Conception on the Constitution development which is to meet the requirements of the present life structurally, to outline a new model of “power of people” in the constitutional conception” of democracy and folk sovereignty.
