Oleksiy KODEBSKIY occupied the position of a village chairman when he was 34 years old, already at the soviet time. Then Petropavlivska Borschahivka, which is located near Kyiv, did not differ from hundred other Ukrainian villages. There were a lot of problems then. Being a combatant and awarded with Conspicuous Gallantry Medal, he decided to explore himself on the position of a village chairman in order to turn the life of native village habitants around. The fellow-villagers believed in the sincerity of his intentions, entrepreneurial spirit and self-determination at once.
