Power blackouts. Do they threaten Ukraine?

Recently a regular session of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE) was held in Paris. This forum, which summarizes the work of the organization for biennium, during discussion of the current issues of the global energetics, traditionally pays a special attention to the large-scale accidents in the national electrical systems, because one of the main tasks of CIGRE is preparation of recommendations to improve safety of the electric power engineering. We discuss this urgent problem for our country with the president of the Ukrainian National Committee of CIGRE and Association «CIGRE -Ukraine» Vitaliy SKLYAROVYI after his return from Paris.
