Six years ago at the session of the Lviv City Council the members adopted a strategic program of preparation for Euro 2012, the official slogan of which was “Lviv open for the world and friendly to people”. According to the program “pleasant city”, the headquarters was formed with 17 working groups which included representatives of the City Council, government institutions and NGOs. They were responsible for the main level urban infrastructure and services. These working groups were “Taxi”, “Restaurants”, “Railway station”, “Airport”, “Transport” and others. The main task was to learn how to provide such level of relationship in which people that are in a foreign city will have a positive mood.

Our conversation with Oleh BEREZYUK, the director of the department “Mayor Administration”, is about how the program “pleasant city” was implemented in Lviv.
