Eurojust in the system of criminal and legal collaboration of the European Union

One of primary purposes of the European Union is providing of high-level security of citizens, which is achieved at, among other things, due to the collaboration of polices and judicial bodies in the criminal and legal sphere. Basic principles of such collaboration are regulated by section V of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (“Space of freedom, security and the law order”) [7], and the important place in its institutional and legal provision is occupied by the division of the European Union responsible for judicial collaboration — Eurojust.
