Formation and development of local self-government in Poland

The search of ways of social, economic, political, legal and spiritual transformation has become a common feature for most countries in the third millennium. One of priorities of their interests is the development of local self-government. The analysis of the modern systems of local self-government testifies that it is built on combination of different theories, conceptions, and, accordingly, on the combination of different options of co-operation of both public and state elements. The mixed (hybrid) model of local government, which combines the beginnings of direct state administration and local self-government, gets distribution.
