Peculiarities of Society Development or Attempt to Answer the Question: “What Do We Modernize?”

The polemics regarding directions of society development has been lasting with different intensity during the whole period of existence of independent Ukraine. For this period a lot of publications on these problems have appeared. The works of well-known Ukrainian philosopher M. Mykhalchenko can be distinguished among them. He thoroughly examines social processes which are typical for modern Ukraine, and also designs possible ways of their development [7].

Therefore the purpose of this article is the aspiration to draw attention to the things which usually remain “behind the scenes” of social phenomena and processes and, possibly, prevent from a structural response to the question: “What do we modernize?”.
