We Write the Constitution for the Ages

The first chairman of the working group of the Constitutional Commission, the leader of Ukrainian lawyers Leonid Petrovych Yuzkov was not tired of repeating this. Does he really believe in this “mantra”? Maybe, yes, but he could not help understanding that the result of a compromise during an era of political fracture will require further changes. And we all witnessed certain metamorphosis of transformation and restoration of the Constitution. But life goes on and social processes raise the question of renewal of the Basic Law. For idyllic it generally solves problems of state creation but due to some “details” and “trivia” (of which as you know life consists) sometimes it finds itself in an impasse. Such unpredictable management and legal chimeras are born that the society instead of moving closer moves far from the characteristic “civil” with a space velocity. And the world occasionally shows us that the limit of civility is violated.
