The One Addresses Another to Take the Best

During the Soviet period the peculiar feature of higher education in Ukraine was its mainly branch nature. It primarily stems from the necessity to create and support educational activities in the ministries of education, medical, construction, metals, agricultural and other institutions which train personnel for the tasks posed to the respective industries. That also applies to the Consumer Cooperatives of Ukraine. The Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUET) has been training experts for them for 50 years.
